Support your child's work with the BBC
Information for Families is a one-stop shop for families and their helpers. The organisation provides impartial information and advice about:
- services and support for children and families
- childcare and activities for children and young people
- special educational needs and disability.
Information for Families offers personal support to parents and carers. For example, help with forms, meetings, and liaising with services. They provide a range of online information and factsheets and run projects such as Parent Information Contacts, the i-go card and Parent Voice News. The telephone number is: 0345 60 80 192 or text 07797 870317. Opening hours are 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30 - 4.30pm Friday.
Introducing i-go… the passport to leisure for children and young people with disabilities or special needs in East Sussex
The Local Authority have asked us to make parents and carers of children and young adults aged 0 to 25 with disabilities or special needs, who live or receive education in East Sussex that they can now apply for an i-go card.
Benefits of an i-go card include:
- exciting offers from local leisure providers and regular updates (link to provider list)
- i-go pack to help plan hassle-free visits
- support from an i-go champion and Information for Families helpline
- opportunities to give feedback and help develop accessible activities.
